What It's Like to Shop With Nourished Market For a Month
Nicole BimberShare
Imagine something with me for a moment. It's a Saturday morning and you want to cook a nutritious breakfast with raw spinach, fresh pasture-raised eggs, and soft goat cheese. An omelette is sounding pretty good right about now. You get your cast iron pan on the stove, turn on the burner to start warming it, and pull out the salted cultured butter you've been loving.
You remember that you also have fresh green onions from this week's fresh box of organically grown produce and pasture-raised bacon that will round out this out perfectly. Your butter and bacon have a war in your mind about which one will be the winner in greasing your pan this morning. That probably ends in a tie. Maybe you'll even fry some fresh red potatoes up to round everything out.

Products That Stays Fresh
You open your fridge and find the farm-fresh spinach is still crisp, despite you tossing the bag inside days ago and almost forgetting about it. The green onions are bright and vibrant, you can smell the difference as you slice them. Your eggs and goat cheese are just waiting for you to crack them open and throw this meal together.

Your meal is cooked, and you sit down to enjoy a plate of nutrition that you sourced from local farmers raising produce and animal products that you can taste the difference in. Nothing compares to the smell of freshly cut potatoes and the taste is something you wouldn't believe unless you had it for yourself. You end everything with an iced raw milk latte for the naturally occurring probiotics and nutrients.
Your Body Thanks You
You feel different eating this way. Eating food the way we were meant to makes you feel more connected and thankful for the hard-working farmers and ranchers that made it possible for that meal to be on your plate.
With just a few items from our market, you’ve supported up to four local farmers, one farmer from another U.S. state, and a small family-owned business that brought it all to your door.

The Impact Your Choices Have
In this simple breakfast, the produce came from a regenerative farm about an hour west of Houston. The eggs and bacon were raised by a young family on a regenerative farm about an hour north of Houston. The goat cheese came from a goat dairy about two hours west of Houston. Finally, the raw milk in your iced latte came from a multi-generational regenerative dairy about an hour and a half from Houston. It’s a small, easy-to-prepare meal with a pretty meaningful impact.
You don't have to replace everything in your pantry and refrigerator overnight, that is unsustainable and can cause stress. Stress might as well eliminate the benefits your body wants to receive from making better food choices. This doesn't require stress.
Most people don't join Nourished Market because they want to overhaul their entire lives. They join because they tasted the difference once and realized food doesn't have to travel across the country to reach their table.
